The civil government school system sears the conscience. This means that if your child attends a civil government school, his or her conscience is seared more and more everyday.
The Apostle Paul, in the First Epistle to Timothy, addresses Christian leadership. First he warns of false teachers and heresy, explaining the purpose of the law, and then he addresses proper Christian leadership. Then in First Timothy 4, verses one and two, it is written: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared;”
While some consider the conscience to still be a mystery, a Christian can safely consider it to be the sense of knowing the difference between right and wrong. While this may sound amorphous, it is not: Romans 1 precludes excuse in declaring, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.”
In regards to the civil government school system:
- It is a thirteen year system that precludes Jesus being the rationale for all wisdom;
- It is a thirteen year system that promotes each man and woman is a law unto him or herself;
- It is a thirteen year system that teaches how man is the measure of all things;
- It is a thirteen year system that emphasizes man is the ultimate authority.
So why is it that you are surprised that young people are abandoning the Christian worldview? They’ve been told for thirteen years that Christianity is false. Their consciences are seared, more and more everyday, by the civil government school system.
