Sports Illustrated is a godless magazine

Deconstructing the Coliseum: Teaching the Christian worldview, including how the civil government has no God-given right to operate a school system.

My wife and I had some airline miles that we redeemed; the only option was to get free magazines, and so being interested in sports I chose Sports Illustrated. As a young person I subscribed to Sports Illustrated.

On January 13, 2014 Phil Taylor wrote in the magazine about how former Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe supposedly experienced backlash towards his pro-sexual immorality views. Phil Taylor himself promoted the sin of homosexuality. When I worked for the largest auto insurance company in the United States, I was baked and broiled because of my Christian values. Will Phil Taylor write about that?

A few weeks after the January 13 edition there was an edition promoting a college football player’s homosexuality – on the front cover. And then SI sent the swimsuit edition to my house. Those last two magazines went straight into the trash.

It may be the case that someday the civil government will use force to make Christians acknowledge publicly some type of union between homosexuals or lesbians; but that will be the gay agenda’s high tide.

Americans are finally understanding the forceful nature of homosexuality, which is a function of how humanists exalt man as the ultimate authority. And just as humanists are asking their judge and lawgiver to make a pronouncement about the propriety of homosexuality, so are Christians. Supreme Court Justice Kennedy’s opinion on the matter is not final; God’s is.

What does all this have to do with the civil government school system? The civil government school system teaches children that they should do what they want – especially in regards to sexuality – and that God’s opinions are irrelevant. Eventually those students grow up to be humanistic sports columnists, editors, and models.
